This is part drink spot, part foodie update.
On Thursday, I decided to try Jamba Juice as my potential drink spot, which has never disappointed in the past. I love their hot green tea latte or their green tea shots mixed with orange juice. However they took those items off the menu! I had to “settle” for their 16oz Matcha Green Tea Smoothie with a Free Energy Boost. The Jamba Juicer, for lack of a better title, said he liked the green tea smoothie, it reminded him of green tea ice cream. I decided I’d give it a shot. I came in for green tea. I might as well get green tea.
Jamba Juice did not win my heart to be my drink spot. The beverage was good but too heavy for an every day drink. Also the cost becomes somewhat of an issue at $4.53 for 16oz. Maybe I’m just not in love with the place.
The other pictures are from Cafe Miso, which got less than raving reviews on Yelp. An old co-worker and I went there for lunch today. I felt like Ramen and she likes to try new things. Cafe Miso is definitely one of those independent restaurants that does well because they have an attentive staff, good menu choices, good food, and the prices are reasonable. Plus the service is quick. I could easily finish a meal of 3 courses in 1 hour and still make it back to work on time.
The sweet brick toast with condensed milk was the perfect ending to my meal and well worth the food coma.
